Gina is a Registered Dietitian - Nutritionist with over 25 years experience providing quality nutrition care for pediatric & adult clients. She treats her patients holistically by using an integrative personalized approach to nutrition and health.  
 
Gina has practiced in Connecticut since 1994 with an emphasis on gastrointestinal health, digestive disorders, cardio-metabolic disorders (such as diabetes, and metabolic syndrome,)  PCOSintuitive eating and pediatrics. She has always had a fascination with the way food and nutrition influence health and currently practices as an integrative and functional dietitian who helps patients develop customized solutions that empower them to take control of their health challenges.

Gina earned a Master of Science in Human Nutrition. Her career experience is diverse and includes medical nutrition therapy (MNT), nutrition counseling, research coordination, education, publishing and program development.   Gina has published in prestigious scientific journals such as the Lancet and the New England Journal of Medicine.  She is the author of My Diabetes Organizer –The essential planner and record-keeper for people with Type 2 Diabetes.  Her previous certifications include Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) and Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC).  She is a certified, trained Crohn's disease exclusion diet (CDED) expert and is an Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP.    Gina has extensive pediatric nutrition experience including over 15 years at Connecticut Children's Medical Center and Yale University School of Medicine.  

Gina sees children, adolescent and adult clients in the private practice she founded in 2015.  In person and virtual visits are available by appointment. 

Gina's wide-ranging expertise gives her a unique perspective on evaluating clients' health and developing the best nutrition plan to help them achieve optimal wellness.
