Nutrition Counseling and Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) - Initial Nutrition Assessment What is Medical Nutrition Therapy? MNT is a therapeutic approach to treating medical conditions and their associated symptoms by providing specific nutrition procedures that is provided by a Registered Dietitian (RD). MNT reduces the risk of developing complications in pre-existing conditions as well as improve the effects of any existing conditions. What does a initial nutrition assessment include? A comprehensive nutritional assessment includes: • Evaluation of medical, psychosocial, nutrition and lifestyle history. • Nutrition intervention using scientific based nutrition information • Individualized nutrition prescription and treatment goals • 20% off of therapeutic grade supplements for up to 6 months. We accept the following insurances: Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, and Connecticare.   Coverage is dependent on your specific plan.  In addition, we offer packages options for private pay clients.
